Ryan Ronald Ferguson, 46, of Bay City, died of colorectal cancer on Friday, February 23, 2024 at his home, surrounded by family.
He was born April 1, 1977 in Red Wing to Richard and Renita (Kahl) Ferguson. He attended Goodhue High School and graduated class of 1995. After graduation he began working at the business his dad started, Ferguson Trucking. At the time of his death, he was a co-owner and operator.
Ryan was very hardworking, a little stubborn, but had a huge heart. He loved his family and friends dearly. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and four-wheeling at his other home, up north, that he gutted and remodeled himself.
He is survived by his mother, Renita (Leroy) Romness of Goodhue; father, Richard (Vivian) Ferguson of Turtle Lake; siblings, Randy (Carla) Ferguson of Hinckley, and Robin (Jeremy) Kannel of Plum City; a favorite uncle, Ron Kahl of Bellechester; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Elward and Viola Kahl, and Lawrence and Beverly Ferguson; and his beloved dog, Bud.
A private family burial will be held at Trenton Cemetery in Hager City, Wis. A Celebration of Life will be 12 p.m. (Noon) until 6 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Bluffs in Hager City.
