Ruth M. Lohman, age 91, of Zumbrota died on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home � Larson Chapel in Zumbrota with Reverend Wayne Schoch officiating. Burial will be in Zumbrota Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Ruth Marie Nelson was born on October 3, 1917 in Britton, SD to Gustave and Idella (nee Linder) Nelson. She attended grade school in Britton and later the Minneapolis Beauty School. In September of 1938 she moved to Zumbrota and worked at the Stewart Beauty Shop. She worked at the beauty shop until she married Kermit Lohman on August 11, 1940. They owned and operated Kermie's Café and Tavern in Zumbrota until Kermit's death on June 29, 1972. On October 23, 1976 she married Adolph Anderson and Adolph died on January 20, 1977. Ruth is survived by her sister-in-law, Leone Nelson; three nieces, Laurel (Bob) Peterson, Linda (Bob) Bork and Angela (Rick) Carlson; two nephews, Brian (Carolynn) Nelson and Warren Nelson; five grand nieces, Jennifer (John) Fritsche, Mandy Hanson, Tara and Holly Carlson and Haley Nelson; two grand nephews, Mike Peterson and Zachary Nelson; step-children, Bob (Belinda) Anderson, Tim (Darlene) Anderson, and Linda Moe, several step-grandchildren and several ste- great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her two husbands, parents, one brother and two infant nephews.
