Ruth Ann Jones, 70, of Red Wing died unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011 at her home. She was born on August 1, 1940 to Robert and Edna (Deden) Vasil. She graduated in 1958 from Red Wing High School. She married Larry Jones on September 5, 1959 in Red Wing. She worked for Munsingwear, Creolas, and more recently at Treasure Island Casino. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed boating, going to the casino, traveling to California to see her daughter and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by one son, Scott Jones of Red Wing; one daughter, Ashley Jones of Red Wing and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry; one daughter Jennifer Jones and one brother, John Vasil.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday Feb. 1, 2011 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Reverend Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday Jan. 31, 2011 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church. www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
