Ruth Bremer

Ruth Bremer, 87, of Lake City, passed away Friday, March 05, 2010, at the Lake City Nursing Home Mayo Health System. She was born March 17, 1922 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Edward and Adel (Molkenbur) Meyer. She graduated from Johnson High School. Ruth was married to George Johnson on January 23, 1945. He died in September of 1963. She married Ernest Bremer on January 27, 1968 in South Dakota. The couple lived in St. Paul where Ruth worked for Buckbee Mears Company as a quality control inspector for 22 years. After retirement the couple moved to Lake City. Ruth was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed china painting, water and oil painting. Ruth will be dealy missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest; two daughters, Susan (Jerry Murphy) Johnson of Big Fork, MT and Kathleen (Gene) Cesca of New Bern, N.C; son, Mark Johnson of Shoreview, MN; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Arline (Melvin) Swanson of Luck, WI, Betty Lou (Art) Chilco of Inver Grove, MN, and a brother, Duane (Delores) Lindabaur of St. Paul. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, George Johnson, and a sister, Carol Johnson.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City with Pastor Daniel Kroll officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church.
