Ruth Bach

Ruth Lucille Bach, 70, of Red Wing, died Saturday at Fairview Seminary Home in Red Wing. She was born on October 30, 1940 in Sioux Rapids, Iowa to Loren and Dorothy (Schneider) Thompson. She graduated from Sioux Rapids High School in 1958. For many years she was a bookkeeper at Johnson Tire Service and Koehler Book and Stationary. Later she worked at Treasure Island Casino.

Survivors include one son, Douglas E. Bach of Red Wing; two sisters, Rosanna Marrow of Newell, Iowa and Thelma Weier of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; one brother, John Thompson of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; one step-daughter, Rene Gilles of Red Wing; two step-sons, Kevin Bach of Red Wing and Keith Bach of San Diego, California and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Rev. Greg Strunk officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Lone Tree Cemetery in Sioux Rapids, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service.
