Russell Lyle Kyllo

Russell L. Kyllo, 72, of Zumbrota, died on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at his home. He was born on November 23, 1939, in Red Wing, to Raymond and Luella (Lexvold) Kyllo. Russell attended Lena Country School in Pine Island Township. He worked on the family farm for a few years until starting at the Zumbrota Creamery (now known as DFA), for 42 years until he retired in 2003.

Russell was a member of Lands Lutheran Church and the Zumbrota Covered Bridge Society. He liked driving the country side and enjoyed viewing the field crops. He enjoyed watching TV especially the Minnesota Vikings.

Russell is survived by his brothers, Gerald (Donna) Kyllo of Red Wing, Arlen Kyllo of Zumbrota, Howard (Sharon) Kyllo of Red Wing; aunts, Clarice (Eugene) Peters of Wichita, KS, Amanda Lexvold of Minneapolis; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents; nieces, Shelley Kyllo, and Patricia Kyllo.

Memorial service will be 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Mahn Family Funeral Home- Larson Chapel, in Zumbrota, with Pastor David Krinke officiating. Burial will be in Lands Church Cemetery.
