OBITUARY: Ruby Wilson
Funeral services for Ruby Wilson will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota with Reverend Christopher Pratt officiating. Music will be provided by Carol Schumacher. Casketbearers will be Tylor Wilson, Elisha Wilson-Kimmes, Coty Balfe, Kenny Timm, Jerry Timm and Dereck Flom.
Burial will follow in the United Lutheran Cemetery, Zumbrota.
Ruby Wilson, age 71, of Northfield died on Friday, August 17, 2007 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. She was born on August 18, 1935 in Oronoc Township, Olmsted County, MN to Walter and Amelia (King) Timm. She was a farmer's daughter and attended rural country school. She moved to Rochester where she worked in the kitchen at Rochester Health and Rehab West. On June 1, 1957 she married Charles J. Wilson in Chatfield and, following their marriage, the couple lived on a farm near Spring Valley. They moved to Northfield in 1971 and Ruby worked in food service at Carelton College. She retired after 17 years due to failing health. She was a past member of Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota and a present member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls. She enjoyed home decorating, collecting dolls and tea pots and she liked to travel.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Charles J. Wilson, of Northfield, MN; one son, Brian (Judy) Wilson and one daughter, Kelly (Keith) Balfe, all of Faribault, MN; her mother, Amelia Timm, of Zumbrota, MN; four grandchildren: Tylor (Jessica Caron) Wilson, Elisha (Liz Lybeck) Wilson-Kimmes, Coty Balfe and Dereck Flom; two brothers: Albin "Bud" (Alice) Timm, of Zumbrota, MN and Harry (Sharon) Timm, of Goodhue, MN.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Timm.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Mahn Family Funeral Home � Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and one hour prior to services at the church on
Wednesday.
