Ruby Senora Marik, 74, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at her home. She was born March 24, 1932 in Wanamingo to Hilmer and Josephine (Pfeifer) Thoreson, and attended schools in Zumbrota. She married Edward Marik on February 28, 1950. For 22 years, she was employed by Red Wing Shoe, retiring in 1994. Edward died October 6, 2003. A member of United Lutheran Church, she enjoyed camping and fishing. She is survived by 4 children, Darlene (Tom) Tingerthal of Chillicothe, Missouri, Thomas (Clara Carlson) Marik of Frontenac, Diane (Gary) Kalskett of Moorhead, Iowa and Raymond Marik of Red Wing; numerous grandchildren, step grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Harvey Thoreson of Spokane, Washington, Vincent (Marilyn)Thoreson of Blooming Prairie, Minn., and David (Colleen) Thoreson of Sarona, Wisconsin; 1 sister, Evelyn Geist of Rochester, Washington and four step-siblings, Melvin (Mary) Bennett of Rice, MN, Nancy (Larry) Stromback of Park Rapids, Jacqueline (Merrill) Stromback of Brainerd and Delores (Marvin) Hirsch of Winsted. She was preceded in death by her husband; step-brothers, Bill and Daniel Bennett, and Bill Ring and three step-sisters, Dorothy Gripp, Mary Brown and Laura Wyttenback. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. at United Lutheran Church with Reverend Clark Cary officiating. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials preferred to the Church.
