Ruby Fern Kuyath, 89, of Red Wing, died Friday, January 19, 2007 at St. Brigid?s at Hi-Park. She was born April 17, 1917 in Olmsted County to Marvin and May (Horton) Whipple. She married Albert Kuyath on April 5, 1935 in Rochester, Minnesota. They farmed for a couple of years in Bellechester then moved to Rochester in 1937 and in 1947 to Red Wing. She worked for Skit Goyer Plumbing until her retirement. Albert died March 1, 1990. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and she enjoyed knitting and reading. She is survived by two sons, Eugene Kuyath of Turtle Lake, Wisconsin and Roger (Sandra) Kuyath of Red Wing; 8 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; a twin sister, Ruth Trone of California and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Ron Stehr officiating. Burial will be at Burnside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chet Wallace, Kenny, Eugene, Jr., Scott, Todd and Shannon Kuyath. Honorary pallbearer will be Juergene Weissmann. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.
