Roy Thomas Flynn

Roy Thomas Flynn, 91, of Hager City, died Sunday, April 5, 2015, at the Red Wing Health Center. He was born October 7, 1923 in Hager City, Wisconsin, to Fred and Hulda (Dahl) Flynn. He was confirmed at Svea Lutheran Church and as a young man, began helping with the family farm, which he eventually took over and continued to farm until he retired at age 65. He and his wife, Ardell (nee: Buck) celebrated 61 years of marriage together on 26th of September. They continued to live on the farm after retiring until moving to Red Wing in 2009. He was a life-long member of Svea Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ardell of Red Wing; two children, Glen (Julie) Flynn of Hugo and Sandy Mallan of Richfield; four grandchildren, Ryan and Adam Flynn and Chad and Jesse Mallan; three great-grandchildren, Dominic, Travis and Jaxon Mallan and one sister, Betsy Seeley of Roseville.

He was preceded in death by one son, Dean Flynn and a son-in-law, Steve Mallan .

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 at Svea Lutheran Church with Reverend Dean Lundgren officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing and one hour prior to the service at the church.
