Service Information Update: A Mass of Resurrection will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at The Church of St. Joseph with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rosemary Jansen, 89, of Red Wing, MN, died March 25, 2020. She was born on July 23, 1930, to Joseph and Catherine (Sand) Miller in Salem Township, WI. She attended Herbert School and Ellsworth High School. She married John Jansen on Aug 29, 1951 at Clayfield Catholic Church. Rosemary was a stay at home mom for many years and then worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken and the Red Wing Health Center. She loved playing cribbage, gin rummy and merry widow. She was a farm girl to the core and enjoyed driving tractor, stacking bales or picking raspberries. In her later years, she loved watching life in her neighborhood of 64 years through her dining room window and treasured the friendships she made on Fairview Lane. She was devoted to her family and her faith. She was not big on conversation but she didn't need to be because her actions spoke louder than words.
She is survived by son, Thomas (Melody) Jansen of Red Wing, daughter Kathy (Brad) Anderson of Cannon Falls, four grandchildren, Ariana (Jason) Wright, Travis Anderson, Cory Keeler (Shoua Her) and Christopher Keeler (Danyelle Andersen), and 5 great grandchildren, Greta & Marin Wright, Anyka & Mia Anderson and Kai Keeler and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Jim Miller.
