Rosemary Carol Anding

A memorial service for Rosemary Anding will be held Wednesday April 8th at 7:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home � Rochester Chapel. The Reverend Alan Horn will officiate. Mrs. Anding, 69, of Rochester, and formerly of Zumbro Falls, died Friday April 3, 2009 at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Rochester.
Rosemary Carol Spading was born March 10, 1940 in New Haven Township, Olmsted County to Harold and Mabel Spading. A lifelong resident of Southeastern Minnesota, she was a graduate of Pine Island High School in 1957. She married Gene Anding on May 10, 1959 at the Douglas United Methodist Church. Mrs. Anding was a cook and waitress at the Ponderosa and the Golden Fox before accepting a position with Dairy Farmers of America, working in cheese processing for 32 years. She retired in 2005. She was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church � Bear Valley. Mrs. Anding enjoyed baking treats for her grandchildren, floral gardening, birdwatching, bingo, cross-stitching, reading, game-shows, word games, and was an avid Minnesota sports fan.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Anding, of Rochester; two sons, Jeffrey Anding of Rochester, and Jerry (Tamela) Anding of Eyota; a daughter, Julie (Mark) Dean of Rochester; five grandchildren, Alissa and Tyler Dean, and Cord, Collin, and Crystal Rose Anding; three brothers, Merlin 'Mike' (Elaine) Spading of Rochester, Fred (Lorraine) Spading of Kasson, and Calvin Spading of Oronoco; and three sisters, Joyce Kjella of Minneapolis, Dorothy (Leonard) Miller of Rochester, and Darlene (Donald) Frederickson of Rochester.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home on Wednesday.
