Rose Trulen

Rose Marie Trulen, 87 of Red Wing, died Friday, March 20, 2009 at her home. She was born February 6, 1922 to Louis and Tessie (Chivarelli) DeRose. She married Donald Trulen on September 9, 1943. She worked for Red Wing Shoe Company for over 25 years. Donald died on June 16, 1993. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She enjoyed walking and going on cruises with her son and daughter-in-law.

She is survived by her son, Don (Kay) Trulen of Red Wing; brother, Louis (Molly) DeRose of Torrington, Connecticut; two nephews, Robert (Jo) Prahl of Blaine and William (Diana) DeRose of Torrington, Connecticut, and niece Linda Church of Torrington, Connecticut.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; daughter, Kathryn Trulen; sister, Dorothy Hayes, and two brothers, William and Frank DeRose.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Dar Reeck officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
