Rose Ann Hinrichs

Rose Ann Kundert Hinrichs, age 75 of Zumbrota died Thursday November 12, 2009 at Seasons Hospice House in Rochester after a two and a half year battle with cancer and struggling for many years with Parkinson's disease.
Rose Ann Kundert was born February 11, 1934 in Berne to Leo and Bertha (nee Berg) Kundert. She grew up in Pine Island and graduated from Pine Island High School in 1952. Rose Ann married Lowell Hinrichs on June 6, 1953 in Pine Island. Rose Ann was the Activity Director at Pine Haven Care Center; she retired in 1986 after more than 24 years. After retiring she volunteered at Zumbrota nursing home. Rose Ann enjoyed gardening, having the ability to bring new life to the plants of family members. She also enjoyed dancing and going to parades. On October 18, 2009 Rose Ann entered Seasons Hospice House in Rochester, where she died peacefully, surrounded by her family.
Rose Ann is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Lowell; her son, Steven L. (Suzette) Hinrichs of Zumbrota; 2 grandchildren, Jessica (Aaron) Berg of Zumbrota and Beth Hinrichs of Wanamingo; 4 great grandchildren, Morgan, Addison, and Emma Rose Berg and Lucas Hinrichs; her brother Duane (Bonnie) Kundert of Pine Island; and her 2 sisters, Bonnie (Richard) Gamlin of Hermosa Beach, CA and Pauline Hammes of Zumbrota. She was preceded in death by her parents.
