Rose M. Hanson

Rose Marie Hanson, 64, of Red Wing, passed peacefully at home while with her family and is now with her son and mother in heaven. She is survived by her husband, Chris (39 years), Casey (Anthony) Towner, Brian Hanson, Granddaughter Jaclyn Hanson, her father, Robert Tingerthal, and was Big sister to her three brothers and younger sister. She is preceded in death by her son Cory and mother, Lenore Tingerthal

Rose was born and raised in St. Paul and moved to Red Wing in 1977. She worked for the City of Red Wing for 46 years and was liked and respected by her peers and co-workers. She loved quilting and was a member of the local quilting guild. In her passion for quilting, she entered several quilts in the county fair and has received many awards. She also completed several quilts-of-honor for military veterans. Rose loved to read, spending time with her family, camping and with her family racing team.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
