Rose Katherine Morgan was born April 10th, 1936 in Liverpool, England to John and Charlotte Morgan. She came to America and married Delbert Breuer. Rose and Delbert moved to Welch, working hard to build a farm together while raising four children. She and Delbert decided to divorce after many years and she moved to Red Wing. Rose was very strong and independent. She went to work at McDonald’s in Red Wing and was a loyal employee for 32 years. She retired in 2021.
Rose loved traveling, dancing, bowling, and gardening. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She was very compassionate, giving to a Toy Drive faithfully every year. She was special to her coworkers. She was always baking and bringing in treats for her coworkers at her McDonald’s. Rose was an active member of the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church and volunteered for many years on the WELCA Church Committee. She was active with the Willing Welchers 4 H Club with her children. She helped her children get involved in everything from skiing, piano lessons, tennis, track and marching band. Rose loved spending time with her family. She loved to have fun, laugh and be silly with her children and grandchildren. She was a sweet and loving grandmother and great grandmother.
Her surviving family includes her children, Darrell, (Debbie) of Hager City, WI, Danita Ahrens, (Cory) of Cottage Grove, MN, Allen, (Dawn) of Plainview, MN and Daniel, (Danelle) of Cannon Falls, MN; grandchildren Sheana (Corey), Garrett (Sally), Kaitlyn ( Eric), Jessica (Nathan), Christa (Eric), Maxwell, Mitchell, Matthew, Abigail; great grandchildren, Weston, Parker, June, Hailey, Harrison, Harvey, Gwendalyn, Kane, Lainey; brother, John Morgan, (Helen) of California; step brother Gerry Morgan (Pat) of Huyton Roby , Liverpool, England.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents John and Charlotte Morgan; brothers, Frank Morgan, Bernard Morgan; sister Sheila Benz; step brother Brian Ginley and great grandchild Faye Breuer.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church rural Welch with Reverend CJ Boettcher officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. November 8, 2024, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing and at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Rose will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
