Rosaline Conway

Rosaline E. Conway age 89 of Lake City passes away July 16, 2008 at the Lake City Nursing Home.

Rosaline was born November 21, 1918 in Lake City, Minnesota to Theodore & Amelia (Lindgren) Olson. She grew up in Lake City and graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City in 1936. She married James Conway December 13, 1941 in Culver City, CA. After WWII they moved to Lake City, where they owned and operated J. F. Conway Jewelers in Lake City. James passed away July 23, 1960. Rosaline owned and operated the store for 40 years when she sold the business in 1987. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Lake City, Eastern Star and the Lake City Chamber of Commerce.

Rosaline is survived by two sons, James (Susan) Conway of Rochester, Rand (Bonnie) Conway of Lake City; three grandsons, Joshua (Catherine) Conway of Cambridge, MA, Aaron (Elizabeth) Conway of Missoula, MT, Riley (Andrea) Conway of Hershey, PA; two great grandchildren, Gabrielle Conway and Samuel Conway. She was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Ioline Leier and a brother, Harry Olson.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, July 20, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the First Congregational Church in Lake City with the Rev. David Badgley officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church. Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City.
Memorials are preferred to the Lake City Nursing Home or First Congregational Church.
