Ronald G Schulz Jr.

The family of Ronald G Schulz, Jr. is saddened to announce his passing away on October 1, 2020 after extended illness. Ron was born on August 29, 1969 in Saginaw, Michigan. He attended Burt Lake Christian Academy, Mackinaw grade school, and graduated from Cheboygan high school in 1988.  He moved to Southern California for 4 years and worked as a technician for Stihl chainsaws. He then returned to the midwest and worked for a tree service in Lansing. In 1993, he moved to Red Wing and started Woodchip Tree Service in 1994. From then until now Ron built his tree business and was a certified tree inspector for some years. Ron loved big trucks and was an excellent mechanic. He loved the forests of the Great Lakes and knew all the trees. He loved cooking, camping, snowmobiling and hunting, and was a reliable good friend. Ron was known as a fearless climber and loved trimming trees. He had a special way of cutting them, and he took great pride in knowing their beauty and structure. It was his trademark. He was known to many as Woodchip. Most of all Ron loved the time he spent with his daughters, cooking, camping, and planting trees. Ron will be lovingly remembered for his spark and strength, by his two daughters, Rajni and Arunata, his mother, Pam, father Ron, Sr., brother, Jon and family, Kim, Owen and Heather, and mother of his daughters, Gita Ghei.
