Ronald James Lidgerding, 73, of Red Wing, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born June 21, 1947 to Willard and Lois (Wiuff) Lidgerding and graduated from Red Wing Central High School. He was united in marriage to Linda Hayes on December 31, 1968, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. For 30 years, he worked as a serviceman for Carlson’s Appliance and Sporting Goods. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed old cars and tinkering with them, especially his ’67 baby blue Mustang convertible. His children and his grandchildren were very special to him and were the light of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; 2 children, Laura Lidgerding and Craig (Sheri) Lidgerding of Red Wing and 2 granddaughters, Kathlynn and Kiarrah.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Mildred Lidgerding and Edward and Agnes Wiuff; his parents, Willard and Lois; an infant daughter, Christina Clarissa and 2 sisters, Annette and Gloria Lidgerding.
A private family memorial service will be held and burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to American Diabetes Association, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.
