Rojean B. Brandecker age 86 of Lake City died Saturday, December 29, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center in Wabasha.

Rojean was born October 17, 1921 in Lake City to Henry & Amanda (Rademacher) Sprick. Rojean graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City in 1939. She then attended Minneapolis School of Business. Rojean married Joseph Costello October 10, 1942. After they were married they lived in the Twin Cities area. Joseph was killed March 26, 1944 in combat during WWII. Rojean then worked at DiAcro in the Twin Cities. She married Gail Brandecker December 4, 1948. They moved to Lake City and she continued working at DiAcro in Lake City until retiring. After retiring Rojean worked as the secretary at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City for many years. Gail died April 22, 1995. Rojean was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and altar guild. She taught Sunday school for many years, vacation bible school and was a Special Ed instructor.

Rojean is survived by two brothers, Kenneth (Phyllis) Sprick of Zumbro Falls, Richard (Vanda) Sprick of Lake City; 10 nieces & nephews; lifelong special family friends Ralph, Irmgard and Gretchen Goede. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City with Rev. Scott Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 5 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. There will be a Family Tribute time at 3:00 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church.
