Roger Allen Quade, Jr., age 54 of Red Wing died on Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Red Wing Health Center.

Roger was born on July 4, 1954 in Red Wing, the son of Roger Sr. and Ellen (Stewart) Quade. He attended Burnside Elementary and Red Wing Central High School. He farmed with his Uncle Earl Johnson in Vasa; worked at Vasa Lutheran Church, Treasure Island and Econo Foods. Roger was united in marriage to Ruth Nelson on October 15, 1999 at Concordia Lutheran Church. He enjoyed going to garage sales, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, eagle watching, deer hunting with his brothers, turtle hunting, exploring the Cannon bottoms, collecting John Deere tractors, and his truck "Digger". Roger was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Red Wing.

Roger is survived by his wife Ruth of Red Wing; parents Chuck and Ellen Varnado of Red Wing; three brothers Tim (Pam) Varnado, Tom (Judy) Varnado, and Bob (Holly) Varnado all of Red Wing; two sisters Sandra Hern of Hurst, Texas, and Helen (Claire) Stewart of Red Wing; step-son John (Kim) Nelson of Goodhue; step-daughter Tanya (Brian) Gabbert of Red Wing; grandchildren Joshua, Alex, Jessie, and Jenna; and close friend Pastor Dobbins.

Roger was preceded in death by his dad, Roger Sr. and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11 at Concordia Lutheran Church with Reverend Michael Heggen officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
