Robert H. Zeisler

Robert Henry Zeisler, 82, of Red Wing, died Monday, September 7, 2015 at his home at Deer Crest. He was born March 31, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio to Dave and Lillian (Roth) Zeisler. He graduated from Glenville High School, Cleveland, Ohio in 1951. He received a BBA from Adelbert College, W.R.U. in 1955 and then served in the US Navy from 1955-1957. On January 1, 1961 he married Carrol Wagner. He received his MBA from Western Reserve in 1967. He was a Certified Management Accountant working in Ohio, Michigan, Rhode Island, Minnesota and New Jersey. From 1977-1981 he was vice president controller for Meyer Industries in Red Wing. He returned to New Jersey until October of 1995 when he returned to Red Wing. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Red Wing Masonic Lodge No. 8, where he was Master for 2 years, the Scottish Rite of Rochester, Zurah Temple in Minnesota and the Golden "K." Kiwanis. Bob enjoyed bowling, hiking, chess and boating.
He is survived by two children, Lillian (Wesley) Converse of Red Wing and Robert (Laurel) Zeisler of Davenport, NY; six grandchildren, Christopher, Karen and Heather Converse; James Hernandez and Lindsey and Dorothy Zeisler; four great-grandchildren, Noah, Ehren, Lexi and Kylee. He is preceded in death by his wife Carrol in 1993; two brothers and his parents.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2015 at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Greg Strunk officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Oakwood Cemetery. A visitation will be from 5 -7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Masonic service, Wednesday, September 9, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
