Robert L. Swan, age 81 of Lake City died January 28, 2008 at the Lake City Nursing Home.
Bob was born November 2, 1926 in Menominee, MI. He later moved to the east coast, were he spent his youth between Maryland and Maine.
Bob's first love was sailing. He enjoyed his Cygnet II so very much. Bob was a World War II Veteran, and a 50 year member of the American Legion. He also was a member of the Masons, and the Boy Scout Leader for 25 years.
Bob is survived by his wife Avis of Lake City; two sons, Bill Swan of Baltimore, MD, David Swan of Birmingham, AL; a daughter, Sara (Kent) Magnusson of San Antonio, TX; two step-sons, Rod (Nina) Bayerkohler of Vienna, Austria, Bryan (Michelle) Bayerkohler of Eagan, MN; a step-daughter, Lynn (Kelly) Leibfried of Minneapolis; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 9th, 2008 at 11:00 am at First Lutheran Church in Lake City with the Rev. Darren Paulson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Maine. Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City.
