Robert A. Schultz

Robert August Schultz, 89, of Red Wing, died Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Benedictine Living Community in Red Wing. He was born January 23, 1936 in Trempealeau, Wisconsin to Raymond and Irene Schultz. He grew up in Trempealeau working on the family farm. He moved to Red Wing and began working at Josten’s where he met Sharon Kasa. The couple was united in marriage on July 10, 1959 and they made their home in Red Wing. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Red Wing Elks - BPOE #845, the Izaak Walton League, and the Red Wing Police Reserve. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sharon; son Tim (Linda) Schultz of Mesquite, Nevada ; daughters, Kimberly (Joe) Schultz Smith of Colorado; Jill (Chuck) Cody of Red Wing, Julie (Todd Ackerson) Berghammer of Red Wing, and Kris (Bill) Wichser of Crivitz, Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren, Austin Schultz, Jon Schultz, Jessica West, Justin Cody Megan Cody, Joshua Berghammer, Anthony Berghammer, Matthew Berghammer, Amy Bremer, Steve Wichser, Joe Wichser, Colton Wichser, and Dalton Wichser; 18 great-grandchildren; and sister, Verona (Lance) Anderson. He is preceded in death by his son, Steve; siblings, Ben Schultz and Helen Dutton; and his parents. 

Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, Red Wing with Rev. Brian Scott officiating.
