Robert Lowell ?Rivet? Anderson, age 81, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at the Red Wing Health Center. He was born on November 12, 1925, in Red Wing, to Henning and Leona (Siepelmeyer) Anderson. He was a 1943 graduate of Red Wing Central High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from April 1, 1943, to February 24, 1946. He was a 1951 graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Civil Engineering. He married Joyce Severson on June 13, 1953, in Red Wing. He worked as City Engineer for the City of Red Wing for thirty-five years retiring in 1983. He was a member of United Lutheran Church, Leo C. Peterson American Legion Post 54, and the Goodhue County Historical Society where he served on the Board of Directors; Sons of Norway and Red Wing Golf Club. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of Red Wing; three children, Barbara (Douglas) Wilson of Aurora, CO, Bryce (Patricia) Anderson of Centennial, CO, and Bret Anderson of St. Paul; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six siblings, Dennis (Carol) Anderson of Rapid City, SD, Elaine Kayser of Thief River Falls, Alice (Gene) Noce of Lordsburg, NM, Neal (Garnet) Anderson of Red Wing, Clifford (Joan) Anderson of Liberty, MO, and Mary Belle Anderson of Red Wing; numerous nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death. Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday at United Lutheran Church with Reverend Randall Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Munson, Dennis, Neal and Clifford Anderson. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday with an American Legion prayer service at 5 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, and on hour prior to the time of services Monday at the church. Memorials are preferred to the donor?s choice.
