Robert "Bob" H. Loken, age 71, of Wanamingo died Tuesday June 22, 2010 at his home.

The memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Sunday June 27 at the Lands Lutheran Church in Zumbrota with Pastor David Krinke officiating. The visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Saturday June 26 at the Lands Lutheran Church and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Lands Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Robert Harold Loken was born June 8, 1939 in Red Wing to Harold and Cora (nee Berg) Loken. He graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1957. Following graduation Bobentered the National Guard and served for a year and a half. On April 23, 1960 he married Delores Paulson at Lands Lutheran Church in Zumbrota. He farmed in the Zumbrota area for 13 years. In 1974 the family moved to Biwabik, MN and worked for the mines. In 1978 he returned to Wanamingo and started his own welding and repair business, "Bob's Welding and Repair". Bob worked from 1979 until 2004 for Webster Livestock, which later became, Central Livestock. Even after semi-retiring Bob continued to do the maintenance work. On April 23, 2010 the Bob and Delores celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He was a lifelong member of Lands Lutheran Church, where he served as Vice President, and served on the property and brotherhood committees. He also served as the President of the Southeastern Minnesota district of Lutheran Brotherhood.

Bob could fix and repair anything; he was the Jack of all trades. He loved fishing and hunting with his son, grandson, and friends.

Bob is survived by his wife, Delores of Wanamingo; his son, Donald (Michelle) Loken of Wanamingo; daughters, Debra (Dave) Ball of Lakeville and Denise Loken of Bloomington; two grandchildren, Dillon (Meggan) Loken and Kysa Loken, both of Wanamingo; two step-grandchildren, Ryan and Darcy Ball, both of California; great granddaughter, Siri Loken; sister, Donna Hinrichs of Zumbrota; twin brother, Dick (Marlys) Loken of Wanamingo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; aunts; uncle; and nephew, Ross Loken.
