Robert Ray Hubble, Sr., 74, of Red Wing, died Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Bayview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on December 16, 1948, in Linton, Indiana to Hershel and Doris (Bennett) Hubble. He graduated in 1967 from Linton High School. In 1974, he graduated from Weber State College in Ogden Utah with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
On March 31, 1972, he was united in marriage to Julie Marlane Harris. He's worked as a social worker, city inspector, and as an emergency program director for the American Red Cross.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He spent a lot of his time researching anthropology, psychology, as well as many other topics. He also enjoyed playing his guitar, the San Francisco 49ers, and cheeseburgers with an ice cold Coke.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; four children, Robert Jr., Charles, Heidi (Eric) Deegan and Jamie (Justin) Jenkins; 10 grandchildren, Stacia, Torri and Brett Meyer, Samuel and Nathaniel Hubble, Henri (Benjamin) Gaeddert, Alix and Aven Hubble, Erin (Matthew) Dodge and Marlane Deegan; three great grandchildren, Ian Moen, Artemis Lecher and Anastasia Russell; two sisters, Cindy (Daryl) Soares and Kathy (Bruce) Henry and two brothers, Scott (Stephanie) Hubble and Barry (Chris) Hubble. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Christine and brothers, Terri Lex and Mike.
