Robert Michael Harrison, 55, of Red Wing, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at his home. He was born on December 24, 1961, in Omaha, Nebraska to Robert and Gloria (Hermstad) Harrison. He graduated from South High in Omaha in 1980. While in high school he excelled in swimming, diving and gymnastics. During his three years on the swimming and diving team, Bob had earned the most lettered points of anyone each year and had broken both diving records set at South High School and kept that record for well over 30 years. Bob earned quite a few medals, many of them in the Junior Olympics diving competitions. He attended college in Nebraska and for a short time worked at the Aksarben Race Track. He married Diane King on March 4, 1995 and helped raise stepson, Joel. They later divorced. He moved to Minnesota where he worked for Twin Cities Tannery and for the past 20 years he has resided in Red Wing. He enjoyed boating, motorcycle riding and golfing.
He is survived by one brother, Jerry (Donna) Harrison and one sister, Helen (Bob) Bergt all of Omaha and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Patty.
