Robert Graves

Robert James Graves, 37, of Red Wing formerly of Winona, died Monday, March 21, 2016 at his home. He was born on June 27, 1978 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin to James and Sandra (Pittelko) Graves. He graduated from Luther High School in Onalaska, Wisconsin in 1997. For many years he lived in Winona moving to Red Wing two years ago. He enjoyed hunting and collecting many things, especially stamps and deer sheds.

He is survived by his mother, Sandy (Ray) McCoy of Hastings; his father James (Karen) Graves of Winona; two sisters, Betsy (Richard) Moenkedick of Red Wing and Amanda (Matt Schaeuble) Graves of Burnsville; his nephew and niece, Nick and Samantha Moenkedick and his maternal grandmother, Esther Pittelko of Winona. Also surviving are aunt/Godmother, Sonja (Frank) Kunce, step brothers and sisters, Mike (Kristin) Boettcher and their four children and Chad, Shaun, Timothy and Ryan McCoy and Lisa (Cory) Ferdig and their two children. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Grace Graves; his maternal grandfather, Robert Pittelko and two uncles, Duane Pittelko and Kenneth Graves.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Red Wing with Reverend Peter Sternberg officiating. Burial will be at the Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings.
