Robert M. "Bob" Graham

Robert M. "Bob" Graham, age 71, of Pine Island passed away on March 24, 2014 after an extended battle with cancer. He died at Mayo Clinic Hospital - St. Marys Campus in Rochester, MN.
Robert was born on October 5, 1942 to Robert and Kathleen Graham in Cyrene, MO. His siblings include Mary (Carroll) Brown, James Graham both of Bowling Green, MO and Cliff (Evelyn) Graham of Frankford, MO. He attended Bowling Green elementary and high school.
Following graduation, Bob joined the United States Navy and toured around the world. His most notable moment of service was serving on board the USS Plymouth Rock during the Cuban missile blockade. Most recently, Bob owned and operated Wanamingo Meats and Catering in Wanamingo for the past 33 years.
On December 31, 1964 Bob married Virginia "Ginny" Sue Snell in Frankford, Missouri. Their sons are Timothy (Karen) of Oronoco, and David (Ting-Yi) of North Oaks. They have seven grandchildren: Scott, Mackenzie, Marcus, Isaac, Abigail, Emma, and Ian. Bob and Ginny most recently lived in Pine Island.
While living in Wanamingo, Bob served as the city mayor for nine years. He has been most active serving as a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where he touched many lives and received many blessings in return.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Kathleen and Robert; and one son, James, who died at birth.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Pine Island (exit 68 on Hwy. 52, follow orange signs) with his son, Tim, officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Island Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Mahn Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota on Friday, March 28, 2014, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
The family would like to express their appreciation to his friends and members of the Cornerstone Baptist Church who loved, served, and visited many times in these last days. Additionally, they would like to thank the Mayo Clinic Health system for 13 years of wonderful health care services.
