Robert Dwain Jagusch, age 88 of Red Wing died on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park in Red Wing. Bob was born on November 8, 1920 in Red Wing to Henry and Eva May (VanDeusen) Jagusch. He grew up and attended Red Wing Schools and graduated from Red Wing High School in 1940. After graduation Bob went to work at S.B. Foot Tanning Company until 1942 when he was drafted into the United States Army during World War II. In 1945 he returned to Red Wing and went back to work at S.B. Foot Tanning Company where he worked for 42 years until his retirement in 1982. On July 3, 1947 he married Gudrun "Gudy" Trelstad at Minneola Lutheran Church. Gudy died on February 11, 2006. Bob was a member of United Lutheran Church and was on the Men's Cooking Team, and past member of the Burnson Lillyblad VFW #1218 and the Leo C. Peterson American Legion Post # 54. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, travel, and playing cards.
Bob is survived by his daughters Pat (Pete) Valtakis of Red Wing and Linda (Tom) Wrzos of Coon Rapids; grandchildren Andrew Robert Wrzos and Katarina Lynn Wrzos; sister Barbara (Marvin) Schiltzer of Dubuque, Iowa; brother Donald (Darlene) Jagusch of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Gudrun "Gudy"; brothers James Jagusch, Daniel Jagusch, Ned Jagusch; sisters Donna Hines, Betsy Hauswirth, and Evelyn Carroll.
