ROCHESTER A private family memorial service for Robert A. Jensen will be held at Mahn Family Funeral Home Rochester Chapel.
Mr. Jensen, 83, of Rochester, died Monday, (Nov. 15, 2010) at Samaritan Bethany Heights.
Bob "Moose" Jensen was born December 24, 1926 in Rochester. On March 26, 1950 he married Lorraine LeVasseur in Austin, Minnesota. He served in the Army during WWII, attended Rochester Junior College, and owned and operated Ace Hardware. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and reading. He was active in the Rochester Shrine Club, and enjoyed participating in parades as a clown and chaperoning children to the circus.
Survivors include three sons, David (Wanda), of Rochester, MN; Roger, of Eden Prairie, MN; and Jeffery, of Rochester, MN; four grandchildren, Kyle (Nichole) Jensen, of Seattle, WA; Laura (Scott) Baker, of Minneapolis, MN; Brandon and Alicia Jensen, of Minneapolis, MN; three great grandchildren, Ava and Sam Jensen, of Seattle, WA; and Emma Baker, of Minneapolis, MN; and one sister, Patricia (Richard) Rossi, of Rochester, MN. His wife and infant daughter preceded him in death.
The family would like to thank the staff at Samaritan Bethany Heights for the wonderful care they gave our Dad daily. We also want to thank Our Savior's Lutheran Church and Seasons Hospice for their support and friendship that they provided Dad.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Our Savior's Lutheran Church or Seasons Hospice.
