Ronald M. Jones
Ronald Maurice Jones, age 89, of Lake City passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the Lake City Nursing Home. He was born January 22, 1921 in Zumbro Falls to Lloyd and Gladys (Giese) Jones. He grew up in the Zumbro Falls area. He was baptized and confirmed at Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Church. Ronald graduated from Lincoln High School in 1939. On June 17, 1943 he married Doloris Tiedemann in rural Zumbro Falls. They farmed in Gillford Township on her family farm. Doloris passed away on October 17, 2005. Ronald was a member of Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed farming, gardening, traveling, and dancing.
He is survived by two nieces, Sheila (John) Kirkwood and Bonnie (Glenn) Dwelle both of Lake City; brother, Norm Jones of St. Paul; several other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doloris and his parents.
Funeral service will be 2p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Tim Learman officiating. Burial will be at the Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
