Richard H. Weber, 89, of Mazeppa, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. Richard was born March 31, 1934, in Mazeppa, MN to Casper and Leona (Schumacher) Weber. Richard was an amazing athlete and graduated from Mazeppa High School in 1954. Richard enlisted in the Army in 1956 and was very honored to become a paratrooper. Richard cherished the time spent with his family and grandkids. He also enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, and playing Euchre. Richard ran his own business at the local gas station then started and operated Weber's Petroleum for 15 years. He moved on to Greenway Co-Op, was employed there for 10 years and then went to work for Mathees Oil. He also worked at Mazeppa School as a janitor. Richard was a member of the Mazeppa American Legion, the Mazeppa Honor Guard and the Mazeppa Lions for many years.
Richard is survived by his children, Joe (Rae) Weber, of Zumbrota and John ("Fanny") Weber, of Mazeppa; grandchildren, Nick, Cassie, Steeff, Kimmetha, Sharlton, Casey, and Scarlet; niece, Vicki; step-grandchildren, Laura and Ben.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annette; oldest son, Michael and his sister, Betty.
The memorial mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 22 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21 at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel, in Zumbrota and one hour prior to the service at the church.
