Richard "Moe" Machacek

Richard Edward “Moe” Machacek, 87, of Rochester, passed away at his home on June 24, 2021.

Moe was born on March 13, 1934 in Lonsdale, MN to Edward and Emily (Soukup) Machacek.

Moe served in the United Sates Army and worked at the Post Bulletin for 40 years in the press room.

On June 2, 1956 he married Cleo Roosmalen in Faribault. She passed away in 2000.

He was a Golden Glove boxer, gardener, and avid bowler. Moe would play golf 2 to 3 times a week and every Sunday with his son Edward.

Many people that knew Moe would say he was a kind man, who cared and helped anyone who was in need.

He is survived by a many friends and neighbors.

He is preceded death by his wife, Cleo; son, Edward; parents, and sister, Mary.

There will be a memorial Mass for Moe at St..Pius Catholic Church on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 10:30 a.m.
