ROCHESTER A private graveside for Richard P. Harrington will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Mr. Harrington, 73, of Rochester, died Wednesday (April 7, 2010) at his home.
Richard was born Sept. 1, 1936 in Cleveland, OH. After attending West Seattle High School in Seattle, Wash., he served for three years in the U.S. Navy. On Aug. 5, 1960 he married Patsy Davis in Reno, Nev. The couple moved to Rochester in 1976 where he worked as an engineer/programmer for IBM, retiring in 1987 after twenty eight years of service. He owned and operated Athletic Impressions for twenty years after his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Pat of Rochester; two sons, Richard Alan of Eau Claire, WI; and Paul Bradley of Rochester, two grandchildren, Krisann Marie, and Patrick Josph; and a brother Robert Lynn (Jean) of Mathis, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents.
