Richard "Dick" Lawrence Schenach

Richard “Dick” Lawrence Schenach died peacefully at his home on September 17, 2024. He was born in Red Wing, Minnesota, on May 22, 1945, to Laurence and Ramona (Quast) Schenach. He graduated from Red Wing Central High in 1963. He joined the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1967. The following year, he bought a farm. Dick married Carol Holst on October 16, 1971, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Zumbrota. After his retirement in 2019, his son proudly acquired the farm. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was also a member of the Bellechester Legion for many years.

Dick is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his son, Michael (Megan) of Red Wing; his daughter, Michelle of Zumbrota; and his grandchildren, Colton and Selena. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, with Father Randal Kasel officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23, at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Larson Chapel, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
