Rhonda J. Schultz, age 55, died on Thursday, October 10, 2013 of renal cancer at her home in Red Wing. Rhonda and her twin brother Randy were born on February 3, 1958 to Dale and Darlene (Theisen) Schultz in Chippewa Falls, WI. She lived in Cadott, WI until she was 7 years old and then moved with her family to Red Wing in April 1965. She attended Burnside School and graduated from Red Wing Central High School with the class of 1976. She also graduated from the Red Wing Area Vocational School in 1977. She began employment for the Red Wing Credit Union on June 21, 1977 and remained there for 36 years, finally retiring for health reasons. Although Rhonda had no children, she loved her and Greg's nieces and nephews. They made several outings a year to Greg's family cabin where she loved to fish off their pontoon boat. Rhonda loved being included in her mother's yearly get togethers with her five sisters. Rhonda was under the wonderful care of Mayo Red Wing Hospice for the past three months.
Rhonda is survived by her fiancé of many years, Gregory Fisher; mother, Darlene Koob (Cork Falk) of Zumbrota; sister, Julie Gibson of Eau Claire, WI; brother, Randy (Jodie) Schultz of Red Wing; 8 nieces and nephews; and 10 great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her fiancé's two sisters, Cheryl and Lisa, and two brothers, Mike and Joe, and their families. Rhonda was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Lisa Linder.
Memorial service will be Saturday, October 19 at 11 a.m. at United Lutheran Church in Red Wing with Reverend Clark Cary officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Mayo Red Wing Hospice. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
