Reva Ann "Corky" Kline Stuve, 95, of Rochester, MN, died peacefully on February 28, 2024 at Rochester Cottagewood Senior Communities, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born in Hancock County, IL on February 14, 1929 to parents Floyd and Edith Kline.
Corky married H.R. "Bud" Hertsgaard in 1947 and had five children. She later divorced and married LaVerne "Vern" Stuve in 1977.
Corky was a member of Christ Our Rock Lutheran Church for many years. She enjoyed music, sewing, crafts, and ceramics. Corky volunteered at Mayo Clinic sewing baby hats and stuffed animals for pediatric patients.
Corky is survived by her daughters, Kathleen and Bonnie; stepsons, David (Shirley) Stuve and Richard (Mary) Stuve, both of Rochester; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and her close friend Betty Sandvik.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LaVerne Stuve; children, Randy, Floyd and Dena Hertsgaard.
Our sincerest thank you to Cottagewood Senior Communities for the care and support provided to Corky during the years she lived at Cottagewood as well as in her last days. We are truly grateful for all your team has done.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Rochester Chapel with an hour of visitation prior.
Inurnment will follow the service at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery in Rochester.
