Raynold Voth

Raynold Frederick Voth, 91, of Goodhue, died Monday, January 15, 2007, at his son Roger?s home in rural Zumbrota. He was born on November 5, 1915, in Goodhue Township to Henry and Anna (Luhman) Voth. He attended country and parochial schools in Goodhue County. On June 1, 1940 he married Bernice Matthees at St. John?s Lutheran Church of rural Goodhue. They lived and farmed in the Goodhue area for many years before moving into Goodhue in 1997. He was a lifelong member of St. John?s Lutheran Church and had also been a past member of the Goodhue Seniors. He enjoyed fishing and reminiscing of old times and being with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who will miss his gentle nature and loving smile. Survivors include his wife, Bernice of Goodhue; five sons, Charles (Carol) Voth of Goodhue, Roger (Beverly) Voth of Zumbrota, Norris (Carolyn) Voth, Marcus (Corrine) Voth and Kevin Voth all of Goodhue; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Erwin and Elroy Voth and five sisters, Verena Diercks, Lenora Puppe, Florence Benson, Elda Bartels and Anna Lou Lohman. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. John?s Lutheran Church, rural Goodhue with Rev. Andrew Krause officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church and for one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
