Raymond F. Langdon, age 84, of Lake City, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Lake City Care Center. He was born on October 2, 1931 to Robert and Dorothy (Archambault) Langdon and grew up in Northfield and Faribault, MN.
Raymond entered the Navy in 1951 and was on active duty until 1955. He then was a member of the reserves from 1955 to 1959.
On June 3, 1967, Raymond married Susan "Sandy" Weston in Rochester, MN at St. Francis Catholic Church. After they were married, they moved to Lake City.
Raymond worked at Di-Acro in Lake City as a computer operator for 17 years. He then worked for Mayo in Rochester until retiring in 1996.
Raymond was a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus and served on the City Council. He loved to read, listen to music, fishing and spending time with his family.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Susan "Sandy" of Lake City; two daughters, Lee (Nate) Anderson of Lakeland, MN and Susan (Chris) Crosby of Shakopee, MN; four grandchildren, Aleshia Zimmerman, Elizabeth Zimmerman; Caleb Crosby, Jacob Crosby; two brothers, Thomas (Cathy) Langdon of North Mankato, MN, Archie (Carol) Langdon of Rochester, MN; four sisters, Mary Williams of Rochester, MN; Sharon Lynch, of New Prague, MN, Toni (Michael) Sinnott of San Diego, CA, Cathy (Thomas) Grannis of Zumbrota, MN. He is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Leslie Langdon; one brother, Dennis Langdon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City with Father Joseph Pete officiating. Burial will be at the St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
