Raymond Arthur Evans, age 77, of Hager City, died Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Red Wing Health Center. He was born October 6, 1929, in Bay City, Wisconsin, to William and Nellie (Larson) Evans. He grew up in Bay City and graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1948. He lived in Bay City for fifty years and in Maiden Rock for ten years prior to moving to Hager City in 1991. He worked as a carpenter and cement finisher on projects including the NSP Nuclear Power Plant on Prairie Island and University of Wisconsin dormitories in River Falls. He married Colleen Hunter on June 10, 1950. She died in 1967. He married Marilyn Peterson on October 23, 1971, in Watertown, South Dakota. They built the Oak Hill Mobile Park in Bay City. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching professional wrestling and western movies.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn of Hager City; five children, Nanci (Gary) Fitschen of Red Wing, Randy (Lori) Evans of Fort Collins, Colorado, Brenda (Mike) Gold of Red Wing, Julie Vadner of Hager City and Kelly (Bob) Preskorn of Hager City; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary (Jim) Dougherty of Prescott. He was preceded in death by his first wife; four sisters, Dorothy Spriggle, Grace Baker, Vi Brown and Hazel Siefert; and three brothers, Robert, Milton and Stanley Evans.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Greg Fondell officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric O'Connor, Dustin Gold, Stephanie Watters, Jake, Jess, Ryan and Katie Evans, Kimm Burns, Kelsey Fitschen, Ashlee Peterson, Ashley Preskorn and Amber Vadner, Burial will be in Bay City Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 4 � 7 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
