ROCHESTER The memorial service for Ray Camrud will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Intern Pastor Cara Holmquist officiating. Inurnment will be in the Church Columbarium.
Mr. Camrud, 84, of Rochester, died Saturday, (May 29, 2010) at Seasons Hospice in Rochester.
Ray Marion Camrud was born August 25, 1925 in Wolf Point, Montana to Richard and Malina (Foss) Camrud. Ray graduated from Buxton High School in Buxton, North Dakota in 1943. He then served in the US Navy Seabees on Guam for two years. On Nov. 24, 1947 he married Natalie Thompson in Hatton, North Dakota. He farmed for three years and then worked for International Harvestor in Hatton, and was a driver for Glendenning Motorways in Grand Forks, North Dakota. In 1962 he moved to Rochester as the District Manager for Glendenning Motorways. Ray sold cars for Domaille Motors until his retirement. Ray was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, VFW Post #1215, Wm. T. McCoy Post #92 of the American Legion, the Sons of Norway, and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed golf, his grandchildren, family, and friends.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Rinda Pattinson of Ames, Iowa; and Wanda (David) Jensen of Rochester; two sons, Neil (Susan) of Brookfield, Wisconsin; and Allan (LaDonna) of Osceola, Wisconsin; eleven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Corinne Eliason, and Carol Kloster, both of Grand Forks; and one brother, Richard (Caroline) of Fargo, North Dakota. A great granddaughter and three brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call one hour before the service at the church on Friday
Memorials are suggested to Our Savior's Lutheran Church or Seasons Hospice.
