Ralph Williams Todd, Jr. 77, passed away November 23, 2011 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Ralph was born January 1, 1934 in Dorchester County, Maryland, to Ralph W. and Lucille (Langrall) Todd. He graduated from Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma Washington in Economics and Finance and attended the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. He served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1953. His career in banking included association with National Bank of Washington, Tacoma, First National Bank of Nevada, Las Vegas, First National Bank of Pennsylvania, Erie and Washington Trust Bank of Spokane, WA as a Senior Vice President. Mr. Todd was a breeder of Registered Hereford Cattle, a devoted hunter and fisherman, a duck decoy collector, first edition book collector, and a stock trader. He married Natalie Yates of Erie, PA in 1958 and they raised two children. He also had a daughter from a previous marriage. His children, grandchildren, and great-grand children were his pride and joy.
He is survived by his wife Natalie, his daughter, Andrea (David) Kienholz of Zumbrota, MN, his son Ralph Williams Todd III of Orlando, FLA and his daughter Shray (Neal) Friedman of San Francisco, CA; 8 grandchildren, Brigida (Jacob) Smith and Evan Kienholz of Zumbrota, MN, Travis and Trenton Todd of Orlando, Florida, Patricia (Matt) Newport of Girard, PA, Laura (Jason) Gary of Fairview, PA, Erin (Josh) Rodriguez and Cassandra (Dan) Baker, of Erie, PA; and eleven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 29 at 4 p.m. at New Life Church in Wanamingo, MN. Family and friends may call at the church one hour before the service on Tuesday.
