OBITUARY: Phyllis M. Zodrow
Funeral services for Phyllis M. Zodrow will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Mahler Chapel in Pine Island. Reverend Terje Hausken will officiate. Casketbearers will be her grandsons. Burial will follow in the Pine Island Cemetery.
Phyllis M. Zodrow, age 88, of Rochester died on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born Phyllis Marie Hart on July 30, 1919 in West Concord, MN to Earl and Bertha (Kispert) Hart. She attended country school and worked on the family farm in Olmsted County. On April 12, 1939, Phyllis married Walter William Zodrow in Zumbro Falls. Following their marriage, the couple lived on the family farm. In 1969, they moved into Rochester where Phyllis was a homemaker and worked part-time as a clerk for Tempo. Walter died on March 12, 1975. She enjoyed game shows on television, embroidering and her grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by three sons: William (Eileen) Zodrow, Richard (Nancy) Zodrow, Scott (Polly) Zodrow and two daughters: Jeanne Erath, all of Rochester, MN and Sherry Zodrow, of Oronoco, MN; ten grandchildren: Wanda, Chris, Zane, Tony, Terri, Michelle, Lisa, Jesseca, Jason and Eli; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Larry, and two brothers: Don and Cliff Hart.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Mahler Chapel in Pine Island and one hour preceding services at the chapel on Friday.
