Phyllis A. Rolfs

Phyllis Ann Rolfs, 90, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at her home. She was born March 8, 1930 in Waukon, Iowa to Frank and Evelyn (Bresnahan) Spiegler. She graduated from Waukon High School in 1949. On May 16, 1950 she married Donald Rolfs at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dorchester, Iowa. They made their home in Waterloo and Cedar Falls where Phyllis worked for Rath Packing Company for 5 years and was a homemaker. In 1986, they moved to Osage, MN where they lived on Straight Lake. In March of 1993 they moved to Red Wing. Phyllis enjoyed embroidery, collecting dishes and caring for her home. She loved to travel and cook for her family.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Rhonda Rolfs of Red Wing; grandchildren, John Reincke, Wendy Reincke and Marcy Brockett; great-grandson, Xavier Rico-Reincke; two sisters, Karen (Ray) O'Hare of Waukon, Iowa and Janet (Burke) Evans of Pequot Lakes. She was preceded in death by her son, Mervin Rolfs; brother, Kenneth Spiegler, and sister, Margaret E. Spiegler.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, Minn. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
