ROCHESTER - A memorial service for Phyllis A. Carson will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Rochester Chapel with Chaplain Dan Johnson from Mayo Hospice officiating.
Ms. Carson, 69, of Rochester, died Saturday (Oct. 27, 2007) at Beverly Living Center East.
Phyllis Ann Nodes was born May 6, 1938 in St. Paul, MN. She was raised in St. Paul where she attended Parochial School. She graduated from St. Benedict's High School in St. Joseph, MN and then attended the University of Minnesota. She worked as a Social Worker and then as an Artist for the American Red Cross. She lived in Milwaukee where she worked in Corrections for the Wisconsin Correctional Services and the Division of Probation and Parole. She retired in 1996 due to ill health. She moved to Rochester in 2002.
Survivors include a sister Joan Oatley of St. Paul; a brother Allan Nodes of Chisago City, MN; and special friend Darline Singbeil of Rochester. Two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Memorials are suggested to Mayo Hospice or the American Red Cross.
