Peter Jim (Proeung Prom) was born in Battambang, Cambodia on January 3, 1952. The son of Prim Prom and Chea Bei and the older brother of On and Sopeap. Married to his beautiful wife, Chan Kim, for over 48 years; they left their homeland and resided in Rochester, MN in December of 1988. Together they raised 8 children of 4 boys, 4 girls and 11 grandchildren; that he loves and cares deeply for. Peter was a family man. He enjoyed long summer days where he would garden from sunrise to sundown. You would often find him in the kitchen cooking or baking and spending his memorable moments with his loved ones. He loved his family unconditionally. But in 2018, Peter faced a difficult chapter in his life, he began his battle against cancer. He fought his hardest until the end. Today we will remember Peter for the strength and love that he brings around him. We will celebrate his life and mourn his death. Peter will always be remembered in our hearts, and his legacy will carry on through his family line.
