Peggy Ann Gleason

December 9, 1957 — January 18, 2014

Peggy Ann Gleason, 56, of Red Wing, died Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Red Wing Health Center. She was born December 9, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio to Richard and Ruby (Dove) Gleason. Peggy grew up and lived in various towns throughout the Midwest, including Lake City, where Peggy settled to raise her children. She later moved to Red Wing to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Peggy loved to play card games and go for walks. She also enjoyed thrift shopping, music and cooking for her family. She was generous, considerate of others and enjoyed helping people. Most all, Peggy loved her family. Growing up, she made sure to tell her children often how much she loved them. She was thrilled to be a grandmother and truly enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren. Peggy will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and her friends and family will miss her classic corny jokes.

Peggy is survived by her three children, Josi (Rick) Czerwinski of Red Wing, Mandi (Mark) Platt of Lake City and Tim (Stacey) Shewbart of Morreville, Mis.; grandchildren, Eric, Cage and Adrianna Deegan and Kateleigh and Harper Shewbart; two brothers, David Gleason and Allen Dove, both of Cleveland Ohio and one sister, Rosanne Haugen, also of Cleveland. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Richard and Larry Gleason.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn chapel. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. On line condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
