Peder Berdiene Husbyn was born November 25, 1921 in Minneola Township. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theatre. Mr. Husbyn was a retired carpenter, and had worked for John Matthees Construction. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, gardening, playing cards, and farming.
He is survived by two sons, Burton (Ann) Husbyn, and Scott (Sue) Husbyn; a brother, Edwin Husbyn, all of Zumbrota; five grandchildren, Brandon (Amy), Kristie (Carlos Jimenez) Clark, Lindsay, Ashley (Scott) Linaman, and Missy (Kevin Nelson) Husbyn; seven great-grandchildren, Travis and Peder Husbyn, Sara and Brittany Clark, Zack and Hannah Linaman, and Ali Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Scharpen) Husbyn, and two sisters, Gladys Steege and Evelyn Thompson.
